Now an award winning author, Nancy M. Wade challenged herself to finish the novel that had been started years earlier after she retired from the Dept. of Defense in 2012. The result one year later was Endless Circle: A Circle D Saga.
Nancy and her husband are living their retirement dream in the hills of N.E. Tennessee. She’s an active member of the Lost State Writer’s Guild of the Tri-Cities area of TN/VA. Determined to complete another personal challenge and bucket list item, Nancy went back to school at the golden age of 69 to complete her bachelor’s degree. Graduating in 2022 with Summa Cum Laude honors from East State Tennessee University, Nancy concentrated in criminology and film studies.
An avid lover of western movies and books, Nancy developed the “Circle-D Saga” trilogy— a western action adventure tale of love and hatred. The story begins in 1885 in Endless Circle with generations of three families: the Dunlap, Logan, and Hartman families. The saga follows the families during WWII in Moment in Time and the 3rd book in the trilogy called Gun for Hire tells the tale of gunslinger Cody Jarvis and his connection to the dynasty.
Based upon her years of living in the mid-west, Nancy created a small town, cozy mystery series: “A Meadowood Mystery”, with the antics of amateur sleuth housewife, Meredith Gardner, in Scarecrows and Corpses, then added her adventures in Reunion with Death, involved her cub scouts inDeadly Bones, the holiday tale Berry Little Murder, plus Colleen’s Deathly Wedding Woes. and her summertime celebration Deadly Secrets. Her latest cozy mystery series is called “A Maddie Brooke Mystery” – the story begins with Innvitation to Murder. A quaint bed and breakfast inn, a historic southern farmhouse – Magnolia Blossom Inn is filled with spunky pets like Luke a German shepherd dog, and Prissy the cat along with Grannie’s ghost to greet a constant stream of guests and the occasional murderer. Search for treasure and killers in Maddie’s next adventure Mysteries Beneath the Inn. Nancy is also the author of a rich family drama, Reflections: A Sentimental Journey inspired by the courtship and early married years of her parents; a colonial historical romance novel, the Frontier Heart; and a contemporary romance short story called Courtship of Laura.
